GAD has maintained offices in Istanbul’s Sisli District for the past 20 years providing important feedback to municipal government representatives on urban design and architectural issues in the metropolitan area of Istanbul. In a meeting held at the GAD Park Offices in Nisantasi between the Mayor, the officials of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, Gokhan Avcioglu and the GAD Team, topics such as the city’s out dated building codes, green roofs and park planning were discussed.

The GAD Foundation has engaged in a strategic partnership with the Japanese based FANUC Corporation the world’s largest manufacturer of automation products and services such as robotics and computer numerical control systems. The first phase of the collaboration with FANUC was the training of young architects from GAD at FANUC’s training facilities in Istanbul. Architects were exposed to FANUC’s range of CNC machines and robots used in factory automation and industrial robotics. In the coming year The GAD Foundation will work with FANUC to develop programs to implement robotics in the design and construction process.

Pertev Ender Murat, a beloved member of the GAD family, who has worked for over 10 years at GAD passed away in March 2021.
