Interview With Leading French Designer Mathieu Lehanneur

Mathieu Lehanneur a French designer at the forefront of the international design scene was interviewed in Istanbul by the GAD Foundation’s Gokhan Karakus. Lehanneur based in Paris talked about his multi-disciplinary approach to creativity – his projects transcend the boundaries of any one creative industry, encompassing product design, architecture, craftsmanship and technology.

 Karakus questioned Lehanneur’s embrace of scientific methods to realise his designs. Lehanneur stated that science is his biggest source of inspiration as well as exploring new technologies and the physical possibilities of materials such as marble and ceramic.
