Gokhan Karakus’ online discussion with Elif Erdine in the series Architectural Education Now!

Elif Erdine, Director of the Emergent Technologies and Design Post-Graduate Programme at the Architectural Association, spoke with the GAD Foundation’s Gokhan Karakus about generative design techniques and the integration of algorithmic design methods and large-scale digital fabrication tools being explored at the forefront of architectural education. The physical objects produced in her graduate studios, for instance, are being compared and analyzed against the digital models from which they were fabricated to measure the differences between theoretical and actual performance. She also discussed the types of work pursued by graduates of the program.
